Recording Flesh & Blood

This is where it all started. One day I woke up and wrote down the titles of every song I had completed (but not yet recorded) or just had the concepts for. I began arranging them by themes and came up with the Flesh & Blood idea.
The "wall of scraps" that I used to organize lyrics and arrangements during the recording of Flesh & Blood. As I finished each song, I'd take the notes down. It sure feels good to have a blank wall again.
I originally set out to record 24 songs, but that was just too much work...
...so I trimmed it down to 22. Notice the song "Fools" in the lower left that was cut from the record.
One of my original sketches for the dual-cover concept, to which my graphics guy said, "Um...yeah...try again." I'm glad he did. But I'm calling my next record "Ampersand".

Many, many thanks to Pastor Mary Bullis and everyone at RMUMC for the use of this room.
I practically slept here from June through September in order to finish the two CDs.

So many pedals, so little time. Not pictured, yet another Keely-modified TS-9 that was being repaired (yes, I own 3 of them).
